Violence is the gift of human civilisation

Most humans get upset or even traumatised when they witness an incident of gruesome violence and wanton killings or even when they watch or hear any graphic narration of such incidents. Children are particularly affected. It affects many even when such incidents only involve non-human animals. Some may even die out of shock or get mentally affected for long or life.

It is because such violence is against human nature. It assaults natural disposition of human beings. It is not only for the reasons  that such incidents pose obvious threat to the lives and integrity of witnesses but also they cause destruction and obstruction of basic human functions of perpetuating  human lives through reproducing themselves. Life means existence. Violence is destruction. Destruction of any sort assaults life and all living things at their core.

On the other hand, it is the humans, at least in most cases, who do such violence and killings for the sake of violence and killings. No non-human animals do this. It is not natural. It is nurtural. It is a gift of civilisation.

Human endeavours, learnings and research should be directed to discover and learn how to tame this gift of civilisation. Otherwise civilisation will remain and become worse than animal ways of life.
